As i sit here this morning having a cup of java I have already primed some wood projects to get ready for the holidays. We will be knee deep in wood and primer and paint. I am priming letter box holders that my husband has made then I turn them over to the mother in law to put her magic painting on them.
Crafting and sewing is all I do but it's sooo relaxing and I feel a good accomplishment and love to see peoples faces when they see the finished project. When I have the chance I will take photos.

WELL GOOD MORNING TO ALL....Just thought I would share a photo of the Christmas items that we are going to be making this year.
these are yard decorations and of course they are made of pine and acrylic painted and sealed with a water proof sealer.
They are time consuming to make thats why we get started in the summertime so we have plenty to go around.,

GOOD MORNING TO ALL
WELL HERE WE ARE IT'S A TUESDAY MORNING AND THE COFFEE HAS BEEN MADE AND HERE I SIT SIPPING COFFEE AND PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES................... I should really be doing the laundry and sewing but.... I have to check up on my blogg buddies and family and check my farm on farmtown(very addicting game).
When I actually get started to sew I will be sewing toilet seat covers for the craft show I am going to be attending. When the toilet seat cover ios completed I will take a photo of it so you all can see it.
This last week was a doozy for not sewing.. family issues to take care of such as funeral and passing of my husbands aunt. Long story about it but whith that said other family family members having surgeries also.
Living so far away from my family makes it hard for me when I worry about their health, all I can do is leave it in God's hands to make them safe and recover. Please say prayers for them.............

craft items
It's almost that time of year people! sure we are in the Christmas spirit now but lets think ahead.
We my husband and mother in law make these wonderful gifts and sell them. We are going to be in a craft show this Nov. and we will be selling all sorts of craft things.
This is a popcorn holder that sits on the counter and dispense popcorn bags.It's made of birch wood and hand painted.
Making all sorts of craft things is a side business that we love to do and sell. We have met a bunch of wonderful crafter through the year and we do a lot of home based selling around christmas time. may 3. - Let's Chat.
well I guess it's time to say hello again, I have to get used to this thing about blogging. It would also help me with my spelling abilities.
I have been trying to get used to this thing called being a mother bird and sending the kid out of the nest but it's not going so well. Time goes by like a blink and your kids are grown and gone. While we are enjoying life and capturing each moment we don't realize where the time actually goes.
Last month has been very hectic with helping family members moving and doing everything in my power to make sure all my family is taken care of. Some people would say that I am anal about helping so many people and that I care too much. That's my nature! At times I do go overboard, I am diabetic and I should be taking care of myself and I am the last person I think of. why I don't know..........
This beiing diabetic sucks, for one I am not organized enough to be ruled by FOOD, I don't like to eat (being fat you wouldn't think so). I do enjoy eating the things I like but to have to sit down and really plan what I am going to eat so my stupid blood sugars are lower is a pain I hate!
But I do want to live a long life and not loose any limbs, my mind is already gone and the eyes don't work and the ears don't hear like they used too. Is this what getting older does to people!
Anywho I have to get busy and do some crafting, I make all sorts of crafts to sell at a small town craft mall and I have been busy with others and not made anything so there for I haven't made any money and that sucks.
It's strange but sewing and crafting calms me and I get so much enjoyment from it. I can sew just about anything from clothes to crafts. I am going to concentrait on doll clothes, I have noticed that there aren't alot of doll clothes for sale at some of the stores unless you want to shop at toys r us and pay out the nose for them.
So with that being said I bid you good day and I will blog agan soon. TTFN(ta ta for now)

home sweet home
well back to the same ole same ole, we got home from visiting my family in Calif. and had to take a few days to get used to the time changes and to reorganize the homestead. my dogs and son of course were all glad we got home.
it's hard to leave the family when they are so far away. You miss not being around them and seeing what they do on a daily basis. They all know i love and miss them and I always keep in touch with them.
Tonight I am getting ready to dye Easter eggs and wait for that fat bunny to unload all of that sweet candy. I just think dentist are loving this holiday as well as Halloween. All the children try to eat as much as they can and can't understand why they have cavities!
After all of the hoopla I am going to start sewing again, I have to make some stuff for the craft booth that I am in and then my mother in law and I are going to be in a craft show come july.

well it's egg time.............. have a happy holiday..........

getting to know me..............
It's blogging time, please forgive some of the spelling for I am not an english major or minor!
My name is melody and I love to craft and talk! what a combo huh?
Ever since I have been young I was taught by my mother to sew,from there on my creative juices have flown.
I am not a professional seamstress i just love sewing craft items and clothing of my own. If there is a pattern or idea I have in my head I try to create it.
My craft room is full of fabrics, paints, and any artsy crafty things. I am in business with my mother in law making wood crafts and sewing objects.
